Even though the album doesn’t drop until next week, the group has released the new video for the first single “Stylo” off the new album. If you can’t wait until March 8, you can get an advance listen (after the break) of Plastic Beach in it’s entirety starting today…enjoy.
In anticipation of Lupe’s new album LASERS, set to release December 15 Lupe released his new mixtape “Enemy of the State” yesterday. The release is a one track cassette style mixtape (download after the break), it sets a good a example of where he is at creatively and lyrically. Personally I’m glad it dropped, however it’s just frustrating that we’re still waiting for LASERS, but I guess that will only make the new album that much better to enjoy. Lupe will also drop a mixtape on Christmas day titled “Friend of the People”

Here goes the song off the New Moon Soundtrack, Enjoy!
The new trailer for this years highly anticipated game of the year CoD:MW2 debuted last night during Sunday Night Football. Although it was nothing compared to the uncut version which was available online and Xbox Live shortly after the debut. The trailer reaches its climax when the viewer is shown an apocalyptic war torn Washington, DC. One of the main things I was eager to hear in this game was Hans Zimmer score (The Dark Knight, The Last Samurai), and what new experience it would bring to the game, maybe a more cinematic feel. In the trailer you hear a theme throughout the clip which is very reminiscent to Hans Zimmer style but I’m not sure if that’s his handy work, check it out.
So here is the new Grizzly Bear song featuring Victoria Legrand (Beach House) which will be featured in the pre-teen OMG it’s “EDWARD” shiny-glittery vampire movie The Twilight Saga:(like it could possibly be mistaken for another “saga” with vampires and wolfs) Full moo………I mean New Moon. That is for another day, and I would apologize but who cares. The video was recorded in Chicago, and the audio is pretty decent. Will post CD quality track when available.

Yesterday I mentioned BtS would be releasing their new album There Is No Enemy, next week. Well now you can take a listen to the entire album courtesy of the band, they are streaming the album on their Myspace page. No telling how long they will be doing this so do definitely give it a listen if your still not sure you want to pick up a copy.
Yesterday was the release of WTWTA soundtrack, all the songs are by Karen O and the Kids. If you didn’t know already the group consist of a children’s choir, Tristan Bechet (Services), Bradford Cox (Deerhunter), Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age, The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs), Aaron Hemphill (Liars), Greg Kurstin (The Bird and the Bee), Jack Lawrence (The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, The Greenhornes), Oscar Michel (Gris Gris), Imaad Wasif (New Folk Implosion, Alaska), Yeah Yeah Yeah’s bandmates Brian Chase and Nick Zinner and of course Karen O. The soundtrack is what you would expect from these artist, you can tell they all had input, but you can also hear Tom Biller’s contribution (The Afternoons) who co-produced the album.

Three years after You In Reverse, the band is releasing their new album titled There Is No Enemy. They are also touring right now in support of the new LP which will release on Oct. 6, catch them live at The Granada Oct. 22. Check out album info and tour dates after the break.
After more than 10 years of whatever it is that bands go through to decide to take a hiatus, SDRE are coming back. The original band line-up has decided to tour again, satisfying long time fans. So far the reunion is only for a tour, as far as any new material coming out we’ll just have to wait and see, but their earlier LP’s have been reissued so pick those up if you don’t own ‘em already. If you happen to own Rock Band and happen to be a SDRE fan, well SDRE records will release on the Rock Band Music Store. The band will be in Dallas Monday Oct. 5th at The Granada, so definitely check it out. Check out their performance from Jimmy Fallon last night and the rest of the tour dates
