So here is the new Grizzly Bear song featuring Victoria Legrand (Beach House) which will be featured in the pre-teen OMG it’s “EDWARD” shiny-glittery vampire movie The Twilight Saga:(like it could possibly be mistaken for another “saga” with vampires and wolfs) Full moo………I mean New Moon. That is for another day, and I would apologize but who cares. The video was recorded in Chicago, and the audio is pretty decent. Will post CD quality track when available.
After more than 10 years of whatever it is that bands go through to decide to take a hiatus, SDRE are coming back. The original band line-up has decided to tour again, satisfying long time fans. So far the reunion is only for a tour, as far as any new material coming out we’ll just have to wait and see, but their earlier LP’s have been reissued so pick those up if you don’t own ‘em already. If you happen to own Rock Band and happen to be a SDRE fan, well SDRE records will release on the Rock Band Music Store. The band will be in Dallas Monday Oct. 5th at The Granada, so definitely check it out. Check out their performance from Jimmy Fallon last night and the rest of the tour dates

With Lupe’s forthcoming album LASERS set to release December 15, he understands that many fans are eagerly anticipating the release. With that in mind he knows exactly how to tease his fans, he did so the other night while performing at Governors Island. Walking the stage he decides whether to play something new, the crowd then begins to chant “new shit” over and over Lupe gave them a small sample of a new track, which quickly comes to a halt followed by Lupe persuading the crowd to chant “old shit” he appeases them with “He Say, She Say”.

Last night Jay Leno’s new primetime show premiered, scheduled to perform for his first show was Jay-Z, Kanye, Rihanna performing “Run This Town”. Before that though Kanye wanted a minute to discuss what happened at the VMA’s…check out the apology followed by the performance.
Nice performance but can someone get Lil’ Mama off the damn stage, what the hell is wrong with her.
UPDATE: Lil’ Mama apparently apologized for the incident, this is what she told MTV
“I did not mean any disrespect towards Jay-Z or Alicia Keys. I admire them and look up to them as role models. ‘Empire State of Mind’ had my emotions running high. In that moment I came up onstage to celebrate my two icons singing about NY.”

Here goes vid of performance from last night, sorry about quality…best one I could find at the time. Notice how Letterman holds the album upside-down when he is holding it up for the camera at end, thought it was funny.
So the show is done and over with and just as expected he put on a great show, seems anyone he asked to perform at the show was more than willing to help out, Santigold, Kanye, Pharrell, Kid Cudi were a few of the guest who appeared. Performances included classics like “Heart of the City”, “U Don’t Know” and many tracks off BP3. As the night progressed Jay kept repeating “we here celebrating life”(they sure did), he even honored those lost on 9/11 with a moment of silence(with the exception of a few jerks shouting during the moment it was still nice) followed by a backdrop streaming photos of those lost while “Young Forever” played. The finale I enjoyed as it showed how classy Jay-Z is, he gave shout-outs to many individuals in attendance, stating he doesn’t want people to think he is “jaded” and that he does appreciate his fans.
